We have a fantastic opportunity for a Commercial Litigation Solicitor to join a leading Dispute Resolution team in Reading and work on a broad variety of disputes.

The Opportunity

The continued growth in new instructions and new clients has created the need to add another Commercial Litigation solicitor to join their highly regarded team.

The role will consist of:

  • A very broad range of commercial dispute resolution work
  • Clients ranging from individuals to large corporate
  • Working with own matters and as part of a team on larger cases
  • Encouraged to develop interests and specialisms in areas of work and industries
  • Promoting the services and reputation of the team and firm
  • The role will also involve supporting the Dispute Resolution department’s wider business development strategies and interests, further details of which will be discussed at the interview

The Candidate

They are looking for someone with commercial litigation experience and the ability to work both independently and as part of a team on a broad variety of disputes.

The successful candidate will:

  • Have demonstrable practical experience of commercial litigation work and be willing to undertake a broad range of work
  • Strong technical and academic capability
  • Understanding and knowledge of litigation processes and procedures
  • Ability to work successfully within a team and independently, as well as to supervise and help with the development of more junior team members
  • Be willing and able to build strong and long-term relationships with clients and introducers
  • Have an interest in and enthusiasm for business development
  • Good time management and personal organisational skills and ability to work under pressure
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
