Residential Property Solicitor - 2+ years PQE - Cambridge

A standout opportunity for a Solicitor to join the Residential Property team of a Top 200 UK firm based in their Cambridge office.

The Firm

Our client is a Top 200 UK law firm with six offices in the East of England. From their headquarters in Hertfordshire, they provide expert legal services and independent financial advice to individuals and businesses alike.

The firm has 20 partners within 8 specialist departments and more than 240 staff including solicitors, tax experts, wealth management advisers, asset managers, and support staff.

The Team

They are independent conveyancing solicitors with six offices across the East of England and have years of specialist legal experience.

With strong relationships with local estate agents, surveyors, and other professionals, they are committed to providing a knowledgeable, straightforward, and supportive service to their clients. They would like a collaborative and driven Solicitor with that same commitment to join them.

The Opportunity

They have a fantastic opportunity for a Solicitor to join their Residential Property team based in their Cambridge office.

The new member will have at least 2 years post qualification experience of managing their own caseload and be looking to join a strong team in a progressive firm. 

The Candidate

As a Residential Property Solicitor your role would include:

  • Managing a mixed caseload of matters, providing clients with high-quality, proactive legal advice.
  • Advising on the buying and selling of houses including drafting contracts, lock-out agreements, and property transfers.
  • Advising on shared ownership sales and purchases, lease extensions, and dealing with re-mortgages and equity release. Advising clients on the wider implications of any transactions.
  • Supporting the senior team members in their caseloads, including running their cases in periods of absence. Building relationships with other departments, such as their Financial Advice team, to enhance the client experience through referrals.
