Solicitor - Commercial Property Team (Radlett)

Hunters Legal is currently working with a progressive law firm with a long history of providing outstanding service and legal advice. Based in the heart of Hertfordshire they help individuals, families and businesses in the local area.

The client is actively looking to expand their successful and ambitious commercial property team, and looking for a junior lawyer to help manage the increasing workload and maintain client service.

They are looking for a lawyer with a strong technical background who is confident working on complex commercial property matters and able to provide high levels of client service.

They continue to be one of the strongest and largest commercial property teams in the region and their work accounts for 25% of the firm’s total turnover.  

Type of work

Advising commercial clients on all their property needs including:

• landlord and tenant work
• high value and complex property development – this work has grown over the last 12 months
• sales and purchases of owner occupied and investment property
• secured lending.

Their clients

The firm continues to work on notable property transactions not just in Hertfordshire, but across the UK. The quality of their clients and the nature of their property transactions mean they often have national and or multi-national firms on the other side, such as Dentons, Eversheds Sutherland, Gowling, Womble Bond Dickinson and Osborne Clarke. They mainly help corporates, owner managed/family businesses, entrepreneurs and SMEs employees in a range of sectors including education and healthcare in Hertfordshire and London.

They also continue to advise a range of local and national clients including:

• large corporates: long standing clients include Fujitsu and McNicholas Construction
• ecclesiastical: providing specialist advice on diocese related property and trust matters. They are the sole retained property lawyers for the Diocese of St Albans which owns property investments worth £80million
• charities: acting for local and national charities, including Crohn’s & Colitis UK, International Society for Krishna Consciousness and The Church Lands Trust
• local council: advising several local parish councils
• secured lending: working for banks on the financing of commercial buildings in Hertfordshire and London
• hospitality: advising pubs, restaurants and hotels, including the McGowan Group, Sopwell House and St Michael’s Manor.
