    Contentious Construction Solicitor - London

    Job Description

This is an exciting opportunity for a Contentious Construction Solicitor to join a Legal 500 ranked team in London.

    The Firm

Our client is recognised in Legal 500 and Chambers UK as a medium-sized niche firm, specialising in delivering construction, litigation & dispute resolution, corporate, banking, employment, projects and property legal services to clients based throughout the United Kingdom.

Over the past few years, they have grown significantly and now have approximately 240 staff and a growing international reach.

    The Team

The Construction team is comprised of 19 (six partners, ten solicitors, one paralegal and two trainees) and is divided into two sub-teams (contentious and non-contentious) operating from London, Yorkshire and Essex. About three-quarters of our work is contentious.

Their clients include developers, major corporations, funders, contractors, sub-contractors, construction consultants, local authorities, registered providers of social housing and PFI consortia.

Their work for Registered Providers involves them in some of the largest construction disputes in the social housing sector which are often in the spotlight of the national media. Their team is constantly going from strength-to-strength. Contrary to the approach of other City law firms, they have been joined by four new starters since March 2020. In Legal 500 (2020), the contentious Construction team received outstanding testimonials and moved up a Tier.

    The Role

This is an opportunity for an individual with a passion for construction law to join their busy construction department in London.

The firm are looking for an ambitious construction solicitor, who is prepared to work hard and go the extra mile, to hit the ground running and make their mark within a thriving construction department.

The successful candidate will have the majority of experience gained in contentious construction but with some non-contentious experience.
