    Corporate M&A Solicitor - London

    Job Description

    This is an excellent opportunity for a motivated, organised and proactive Solicitor to join the M&A team within the Corporate Department of a Top 65 UK law firm.

    The Firm

    Our client is a London-based, full-service law firm, specialising in providing straightforward advice to entrepreneurial businesses and individuals on domestic and international matters.

    They have grown substantially in recent years, including two mergers and an office move. They are one of the only London-based law firms with a large private wealth offering alongside significant business law capability.

    The Team

    The team acts for large corporates looking to M&A as part of their growth and innovation strategies. They are well versed in all aspects of M&A from the terms and structure of deals, negotiations, the strategic aspects of growth and exit planning – right through to execution.

    Many of their clients are international and turn to them for counsel on their UK and international deal-making. They are also the UK member for the Meritas and Lawyers Associated Worldwide (LAW) alliances, giving clients access to leading international advice around the globe.

    The Opportunity

    This is an excellent opportunity for a motivated, organised and proactive Solicitor to join our M&A team within the Corporate Department.

    The M&A team comprises a multi-disciplinary team of lawyers, who provide legal advice on corporate transactions and for clients across a range of sectors. Our work includes:

    • Mergers & Acquisitions
    • AIM work
    • Private Equity
    • Corporate Real Estate

    The role is a general corporate role, supporting and working closely with Partners and senior Lawyers across the team, dealing with a varied range of transactional and non-transaction work, including mergers and acquisitions, joint ventures, shareholder arrangements, and investments, reconstructions and reorganisation, and general corporate and company law advice.

    This is an excellent opportunity for candidates wanting to work as part of a collegiate and supportive team whilst gaining exposure to varied and interesting work.

    The Candidate

    The successful candidate will have post qualification experience in private M&A and general corporate work, with experience of Corporate Real Estate advantageous but not essential.

    You must have excellent attention to detail with the ability to perform in a high volume, deadline-orientated role.
