    Job Description

    A fantastic opportunity for an experienced Employment Solicitor to join a highly regarded firm in London with the view of becoming Head of Department.

    The Team

    The firm undertakes all areas of employment law and acts for employers and employees in contentious and non-contentious matters. They are embarking on a period of significant practice development underpinned by the firm’s strong client and professional connections and involvement in the local business community. This is supported by a full-time marketing manager and activities which are raising the profile of the firm in all areas of practice.

    The Role

    An excellent opportunity has arisen for a capable and ambitious Employment Lawyer to help develop the firm's Employment Law Department with a view to moving into the Head of Department role within a year of appointment, subject to successful performance.

    The successful candidate will play a leading role in driving the Employment Team forward, strengthening our relationships with the firm’s employer client base and many professional contacts, while at the same time reaching out to new connections and for new opportunities. Areas of interest will be encouraged and supported, and initiative and creativity will be rewarded.

    The Candidate

    You will have proven experience of practice development in the employment law field including helping to design marketing campaigns, participation in the preparation and presentation of webinars and seminars, delivering workshops for HR professionals and other clients, networking, or other practice development activities.

    You will enjoy work of this kind, as well as client work, and you will be afforded the time and resources to enable you to make a significant contribution to the development of the Employment Department. You will be strong academically and have several years of experience in handling a wide range of contentious and non-contentious employment matters.
