Their clients range from some of the UK’s largest businesses and institutions, housebuilders and developers through to investors, professional partnerships, family offices, not for profit organisations and private individuals – all of which benefit from the flexible, practical approach of their lawyers.
They have a well-established reputation for acting across the full real estate cycle on mixed-use residential-led regeneration schemes, and on major infrastructure projects such as HS2 and Crossrail. Their employment, church, charities, commercial real estate, retail, and private business and wealth teams are equally well regarded and have seen significant growth over the last few years.
The department currently has 3 partners, a senior associate, an associate solicitor, a solicitor, a SA qualified lawyer, 1 legal executive, 2 licensing assistants, 1 dept admin assistant, 1 secretary and 1 trainee.
There are 3 main work streams with some overlap between them.
Commercial Real Estate
They act mainly for clients who buy premises to use for their business, so for example restaurants, retail premises, petrol stations. They handle office premise moves and deal with the property elements of company share acquisitions and disposals. One of the partners is involved in a major land acquisition which will require significant support.
They handle a high volume of licence applications. These range from bars and restaurants, to supermarkets, petrol stations and hotels. We now look after some 3,000 licences. The work includes negotiation with officers and advocacy at licence hearings all over England and Wales.
They deal with a volume of telecom site lease work and telecom code litigation.
The firms Commercial Real Estate department is looking for a solicitor (1-3 years PQE) to join them as an integral part of their busy team.

Requirements for the role:
- Commercial real estate landlord and tenant experience
- Good work ethic
- Excellent written and oral communication skills
- Sound drafting and presentation skills
- Versatility to support partners and solicitors and manage own workload
- Ability to provide service at high client focussed levels
- Enthusiastic and self-motivated
