A junior Residential Property Solicitor is required to join a highly successful London-based firm and deal with a broad range of transactional work.
The Firm
Our client is a highly successful London law firm with a heritage spanning almost 300 years advising wealthy families, property investors, landed estates, entrepreneurs and family businesses.
The Firm operates through five departments - private wealth, property, corporate, litigation and family – and has a strong focus on key sectors including Arts and Luxury assets.
The Team
The team acts for high net worth individuals and a number of established and high-profile urban and rural estate clients. The team aims to provide a highly organised, efficient, and cost effective service to our existing clients and to build on this reputation to further grow the practice. The successful candidate will have the opportunity to play a key part in achieving this aim.
The Residential team is based in London and consists of 4 Partners and 5 Fee Earners.
The Role
The primary role will be to assist the team with transactional assistance alongside the management of large urban and rural estates. This position will report directly to the Head of the Residential team in the Property Department.
They are looking for an Associate to join the Residential team to further their career on a full-time basis.
The purpose of this role is primarily to deal with a broad range of transactional work and to assist/deal with management transactions including lettings, licenses to assign, underlet and alter, (which includes the preparation of draft documentation), deeds of variation etc. for both private clients and for urban and rural estate clients.
The Candidate
The successful candidate will encounter a wide variety of transactional work alongside property portfolio management matters across mixed-use rural and urban portfolios. The candidate must be able to deal with buying, selling, and financing for private clients. Responsibilities will include drafting and negotiating documents as well as running a significant number of their own files. There can be an element of commercial work especially when dealing with agricultural property or large estates but experience in commercial work is not a pre-requisite for the role.
You will be newly qualified - 1 year PQE with experience of residential leasehold property management, residential experience, including dealing with letting transactions and mortgages on houses and flats. Commercial and/or agricultural experience is not required, however, an ability to learn and be willing to undertake this work is important.

The Firm has an opening for a first rate Employment lawyer. Experience, which should include a mix of contentious, advisory and transactional work, gained within a top tier firm is preferred. It is essential that the candidate has a strong academic background (minimum 2.1 degree) with excellent written communication and drafting skills. The successful candidate will also have outstanding technical skills, together with the ability to build relationships with clients and colleagues and work well in a team. The ideal candidate will have 1-3 year post qualification experience (or equivalent experience).

Responsibilities:
The successful candidate will be responsible for day-to-day general management of the clients’ affairs, and in most cases will act as a primary point of contact for the client.
Working on both Deputyships and Personal Injury Trusts, the successful candidate will be required to be aware of the full details of the clients’ affairs and ensure compliance with the OPG Deputyship Standards in all general management tasks. They will have an allocated case load of clients with the support of a senior member of the team and a paralegal and will be expected to undertake all or any of the following tasks: Drafting routine and non-routine applications to the Court of Protection with accompanying documentation including Witness Statements;
Supporting with the preparation of Expert Witness Statements;
Assisting with the preparation of OPG Reports;
Assisting senior members of the team with discrete tasks as required;
Running their own case load with training and supervision
Taking a role in the implementation of policies and processes relating to the team;
