The successful candidate will have strong legal analysis, excellent communication/client care skills, and a willingness to work on a variety of matters. You will work both within a team and manage your own caseload. Experience in liaising directly with clients and counsel is essential.

The planning department is seeking a new solicitor to join them and further develop the practice; the planning team sits within the real estate group.
Having a reasonable understanding of the firm’s values and culture, you will be keen to raise the profile of the team. You will represent their clients to the highest standard and be eager to broaden your range of expertise and skills.
The Team
The team has a wide range of clients including energy companies, strategic land owners, property developers, land promoters, charities, retailers and individuals.
The Candidate
The successful candidate will demonstrate sound knowledge and appropriate experience of all planning work and commercial awareness. It is also essential that you are able to demonstrate that you can develop and maintain good client relationships.
You will undertake varied and high quality work, which will include s106 agreements, compulsory purchase advice (compensation advice and settlement agreements), strategic advice on planning applications, planning appeals, promotion agreements, CIL advice, judicial reviews and high court challenges, highways agreements, CLEUD and CLOPUD applications, advice on permitted development prior approval applications, planning aspects of due diligence.
