This opportunity sits within a highly regarded team advising ultra-high-net-worth individuals, entrepreneurial families, trustees, family offices, and private wealth institutions on complex and high-value disputes, many of which involve cross-border elements and multi-jurisdictional considerations.

The Role

The position will involve advising on a broad range of contentious private wealth matters, including:

• Trust and estate disputes
• Breach of fiduciary duty claims
• Trustee and beneficiary disputes
• Cross-border succession and inheritance matters
• Tax-related private wealth disputes
• Court of Protection and capacity-related matters
• High Court litigation involving private wealth structures and assets

The successful individual will work closely with partners and senior lawyers on complex international matters while also taking ownership of day-to-day case management and client interaction.

Key Responsibilities

Responsibilities will include:

• Managing contentious private wealth matters from inception through to resolution.
• Assisting with the strategic direction of complex disputes.
• Drafting clear and technically accurate legal advice and court documentation.
• Conducting detailed legal analysis and factual investigations.
• Liaising directly with clients, Counsel, experts, and overseas advisers.
• Supporting trial preparation, disclosure exercises, and evidential reviews.
• Delegating work effectively to trainees and junior team members.
• Conducting legal research across trust, succession, and private client disputes.
• Contributing to articles, legal updates, and thought leadership initiatives.
• Supporting business development and profile-raising activities within the private wealth sector.
• Building strong internal and external professional relationships across the firm’s international network.

Candidate Profile

Suitable candidates are likely to demonstrate:

• Qualification as a solicitor in England & Wales.
• Experience gained within a recognised disputes or private wealth disputes practice.
