Hunters Legal is working with a Leading Law Firm to recruit an Associate into its highly regarded Family team.

The Role

The successful candidate will work closely with Partners and senior colleagues across a broad range of family law matters, advising clients through some of the most significant personal and financial decisions of their lives.

The role offers exposure to:

• Financial remedy proceedings involving high-value and complex assets.
• Private children matters, including residence, contact and specific issue applications.
• Cross-border family disputes and international children matters.
• Non-court dispute resolution, including negotiation and alternative dispute resolution where appropriate.
• High net worth and ultra high net worth private client work.

Key Responsibilities

• Advise clients on a broad range of family law matters.
• Manage matters from instruction through to conclusion under appropriate supervision.
• Conduct financial remedy and private children proceedings.
• Prepare witness statements, court documentation and case bundles.
• Draft instructions to counsel and expert witnesses.
• Liaise with clients, barristers, experts and other professional advisers.
• Support Partners and senior lawyers on complex and high-value matters.
• Maintain accurate file management, time recording and billing.
• Ensure compliance with SRA regulations and internal procedures.
• Participate in business development initiatives, networking events, seminars and marketing activities, including the preparation of articles and thought leadership content.

Candidate Profile

The successful candidate will demonstrate:

• Experience handling a broad range of family law matters, including financial and children work.
• Exposure to contested proceedings and dispute resolution.
• Strong drafting, analytical and advocacy support skills.
• The ability to communicate complex legal issues in a clear, practical and commercial manner.
