Role Overview

The firm is seeking an experienced and motivated Family Lawyer to join its expanding team in Cambridge and surrounding areas.

The successful candidate will manage a diverse and high-quality caseload of family law matters, delivering strategic, empathetic advice while maintaining the highest standards of client care.

Key Responsibilities

Managing a broad range of family law matters including divorce, financial remedy proceedings, child arrangements, and cohabitation disputes.
Providing clear, strategic and commercially sound legal advice tailored to clients’ individual circumstances.
Drafting and reviewing legal documentation, court applications, and correspondence accurately and efficiently.
Representing clients in negotiations, mediation, and court proceedings where required.
Maintaining strong client relationships through professionalism, empathy, and integrity.
Collaborating with colleagues to ensure consistent, high-quality service delivery.
Contributing to the continued growth and reputation of the firm.

Person Specification

Essential:

Qualified Solicitor with experience in family law.
Strong technical expertise across a broad range of private family matters.
Ability to manage a busy caseload independently with excellent organisational skills.
Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills.
A proactive, solutions-focused approach.

Desirable:

Experience mentoring or supervising junior team members.
Involvement in networking or business development initiatives.
Experience with alternative dispute resolution methods.
