Overview

Hunters Legal is working with a Leading firm in its search for a Real Estate Litigation Associate to join its highly regarded Real Estate Services department. The firm provides a comprehensive legal service to a broad range of businesses and private individuals, including multinationals, public and private companies, partnerships, public sector organisations and private clients.

The Real Estate Services department encompasses Real Estate Litigation, Commercial Real Estate, contentious and non-contentious Construction, as well as Residential Property. The department has a supportive and collaborative culture, with a strong emphasis on professional development, high-quality client service and building expertise across the real estate sector.

The Role:

The Real Estate Litigation team acts for a number of property investment and development clients, regularly advising on a broad range of property-related disputes and issues. The work has a particular landlord focus and covers both commercial and residential landlord and tenant matters.

The successful candidate will have significant responsibility and extensive client contact, primarily managing their own files while also assisting on larger and more complex matters. They will play an active role in the continued development of the practice and will be encouraged to contribute to the wider profile and growth of the department.

The role will involve:

  • Managing the day-to-day running of real estate litigation matters under partner supervision
  • Advising clients across a broad range of real estate litigation matters, with a particular focus on landlord and tenant issues
  • Providing prompt, commercially focused and high-quality legal advice
  • Managing matters efficiently and ensuring work is delivered to a high professional standard
  • Developing and maintaining strong client relationships
  • Assisting with larger and more complex cases alongside senior members of the team
  • Depending on level, assisting with the supervision and development of trainee solicitors
  • Keeping up to date with relevant developments in law and practice
  • Ensuring accurate time recording, monitoring and prompt billing
  • Supporting business development and marketing initiatives across the department and wider firm
  • Attending networking events and developing opportunities to strengthen the firm's client relationships
  • Contributing positively to the supportive and collaborative culture of the team

The Candidate:

The successful candidate will:

  • Have experience across a broad range of real estate litigation, with particular strength in advising landlords
  • Have knowledge and experience of both commercial and residential landlord and tenant law
  • Be able to provide clear, commercially focused advice promptly and within budget
  • Demonstrate excellent client care and communication skills
  • Be comfortable taking significant responsibility for their own matters
  • Have a genuine interest in business development and contributing to departmental marketing initiatives
  • Be willing to become involved in the wider aspects of practice, including billing and business development
  • Be an enthusiastic and collaborative team player with a proactive approach
