Vacancy

An opportunity has arisen for an Associate to join the Residential Property team based in London.

The team manages a diverse caseload encompassing all areas of residential conveyancing, supporting clients from their first property purchase through to managing complex property portfolios.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage a caseload of files, handling cases and transactions efficiently.
  • Collaborate closely within the team to provide high-quality legal advice with a commercially aware approach, ensuring excellent client service.
  • Handle various transactional projects and matters with confidence.
  • Take direct instructions from clients and deliver on their expectations.
  • Prepare and work in partnership with senior lawyers to identify the best solutions for clients.
  • Scope and price work accurately with partner support.
  • Develop personal client relationships alongside partners and senior lawyers.
  • Build a professional profile as a skilled residential property lawyer.
  • Contribute to business development initiatives within the team.
  • Network to grow a portfolio of clients, contacts, and referral sources; attend relevant events.
  • Identify opportunities for cross-selling and foster an internal network to increase referred work.
  • Support team and sector pitches when required.
  • Maintain consistent time recording, WIP monitoring, and billing practices.
  • Work towards personal and team KPIs, monitoring performance accordingly.
  • Align personal objectives with the department’s strategic goals.

Skills, Experience, and Attributes

  • Qualified Solicitor, Licensed Conveyancer, or CILEx with relevant residential property experience.
  • Previous experience working within a residential property team.
  • Strong client and project management skills focused on delivering excellent service.
  • Well-organised with the ability to prioritise effectively.
  • Comfortable working within a small, collaborative team environment.
