Family Solicitor 1 - 5 years PQE - West London

An exciting opportunity for a Family Solicitor to join a regional heavyweight law firm in West London.  

The Firm

The firm is a full-service Thames Valley heavyweight. Working for clients from offices in West London, Berkshire and South Bucks. They boast one of the region’s largest real estate teams outside of London and a corporate team working with UK headquarters of multinationals and large SMEs based in the South East.

The Team

The firms Private Client group is based across their West London and Buckinghamshire Offices. The family team covers a range of privately funded work representing clients on all aspects of divorce, financial remedy, private children’s issues, cohabitee disputes and pre-and post-nuptial agreements. The team also has a significant amount of Contentious Probate and Education Law work.

The wider Private Client group is recognised as a regional heavyweight and includes a specialist Estate Planning team, and a specialist High Net Worth Residential Property team both headed by partners.

The Role

This role is to provide assistance and support to the Divorce and Finance Team.  At an operational level this role will be about working as an assistant solicitor supporting the current Partners in West London managing the smooth running of their caseloads. The successful candidate will be expected to run their own caseload and also assist the Partners with their caseloads adopting a team approach. 

The Candidate

The successful candidate will have broad post qualification experience in family law work, specifically dealing with divorce and family finance.

Qualifications

• Strong LPC pass or equivalent; and
• Hold a current clean practising certificate from the SRA.

Skills and Experience

• History of sound personal billing.
• Good technical grounding and a passion for this practice area.
• Flexible with the ability to work to tight deadlines whilst maintaining the highest quality standards and attention to detail.
