A fantastic opportunity for an Associate Solicitor to join the firms market leading Commercial & IP team in London.

The Firm

Our client is an established firm of commercial lawyers located in Central London and currently comprises 15 partners plus 90 professional and support staff. 

The Role

They now have a fantastic opportunity to join the firms market leading Commercial & IP team which is currently comprised of 1 partner, 2 fee earners, and one secretary, focused primarily on the sports, tech, media and creative industries.

The firm seeks an Associate to join this growing team, primarily to work alongside the Partner. The firm expects candidates to possess excellent academics and will have 4-5 years PQE in the relevant department. The role is extremely varied and will provide exposure to a broad range of commercial, intellectual property, IT and sports work.

This role is likely to appeal to someone who has a proven interest and focus in non-contentious commercial and IP work and is seeking a platform for long term career development as part of an established team operating within a highly profitable, long established and reputable London firm.

The Candidates

Candidates should possess relevant proven commercial drafting experience and proficiency in Tech and Digital matters. An understanding of brand protection and commercial rights strategies would be advantageous. Whilst close supervision and support at partner level is fundamental, candidates should be able to manage files and use their own initiative. Candidates will need to be ambitious with a desire to develop their career and continue to grow this successful practice area.

The firm’s working environment is very “hands on” and a sound commercial sense and ability to handle clients is essential. The candidate should also have excellent drafting, technical, file/time management skills, good client liaison abilities and should be able to work under pressure on high profile projects with tight deadlines.
