The Team
The Employment team represents both employers and employees, from first query to tribunal whilst managing risk and resolve disputes. They have handled many high-profile test cases in the higher courts, both in the UK, and are particularly well-known for working with charities and the public sector.
The Opportunity
They are looking for an Associate who has strong legal skills, a sound commercial approach, and who is a natural advocate and strong negotiator.
The Candidate
The successful candidate will be expected to advise a range of clients on the full range of employment law and HR issues. Clients will include both employers (including household charities, social enterprises, and corporates) and Senior Executives. A unique feature of the employment team is that they act on both sides of disputes, often acting for Senior Executives in the context of boardroom disputes.
You will need to be able to manage a full caseload of litigious and advisory work with a particular focus on:
Lawyers in the employment team are provided with career development support, for example, encouragement to co-manage client relationships with partners, support the development of recently qualified lawyers, and be involved in the development of the department’s strategy.
