Our client was established in 2018 following a merger between two legacy firms, bringing together over 300 years of legal expertise across 5 locations – Cambridgeshire, London, Berkshire, and Hampshire.
The Team
The Private Real Estate Group provides high-quality advice and service to private clients, trusts, and family offices in connection with their real estate affairs. It works closely where appropriate with other specialists in the Firm, including Private Client and Commercial Real Estate lawyers to achieve that aim. The Group currently comprises 5 partners, 24 fee earners, and 6 support staff across the Firm’s 4 offices.
The Role
The firm is now seeking a Solicitor in the Real Estate Department to undertake general commercial property work for a variety of clients.
The position involves acting on sales and acquisitions (by private treaty and by auction), letting (for landlord and tenant), property management (dealing with licenses to assign, underlet and alter, etc) and property finance. The role is expected to encompass a broad base of general commercial property work as detailed above including providing property assistance on corporate transactions.
The Candidate
The role requires a good knowledge of land law, landlord and tenant law, land registration, and property tax.
As a member of the department, the candidate will be expected to lend general support as and when required and contribute to the monthly know-how meetings and in business development.
