The Employment Team operates as part of the wider Business Team and delivers clear, pragmatic advice to employer clients. The team handles a broad range of work including everyday HR support, corporate employment advice, complex disputes and claims, redundancy processes, and the drafting of settlement agreements.

It invests in continuous learning through a structured development programme and encourages all staff to advance both their technical expertise and business development skills.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Advise employer clients on a wide range of day-to-day and strategic employment law issues.
  • Draft and review contracts, handbooks, and HR policies.
  • Prepare and advise on settlement agreements.
  • Assist more senior lawyers with employment tribunal claims.
  • Keep abreast of changes to employment legislation and best practice.
  • Support training initiatives for HR professionals and managers.
  • Represent the team at networking events and contribute to promotional activity on social media.

Candidate Profile:

  • 2+ years’ in employment law, ideally gained at a commercial firm.
  • Strong academic background.
  • Highly organised and detail-oriented with the ability to manage a busy caseload.
  • A proactive self-starter able to work independently and collaboratively.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and relationship-building skills.
  • Team-focused, with a client-centric approach.
