The firm’s Employment team is recognised for delivering commercially focused advice across both contentious and non-contentious matters. The Position
The successful individual will advise on a broad range of employment law matters, including:
- Employment Tribunal and High Court litigation.
- Day-to-day HR and strategic advisory support.
- Employment aspects of corporate transactions.
- Workplace investigations and disciplinary matters.
- Senior executive exits and disputes.
- Restrictive covenants and confidential information matters.
This role requires a commercially minded employment lawyer capable of managing matters independently while working closely with senior stakeholders across the practice.
Key Responsibilities
The Employment Managing Associate will:
- Manage a varied caseload of contentious and advisory employment matters.
- Provide pragmatic and commercially focused legal advice to employer clients.
- Support corporate teams on transactional employment issues.
- Draft employment documentation including contracts, policies, settlement agreements, and tribunal pleadings.
- Handle Employment Tribunal litigation and liaise with external Counsel where required.
- Build and maintain strong client relationships.
- Contribute to business development initiatives and client pitches.
- Produce thought leadership content including articles, webinars, and legal updates.
- Supervise and support junior lawyers within the team.
- Utilise legal technology and AI tools as part of efficient client service delivery.
Candidate Profile

- Strong employment law experience gained within a recognised private practice team.
- Excellent technical knowledge across contentious and non-contentious employment law.
