Overview

A Leading Law Firm is seeking an ambitious Employment Senior Associate to join its established London team, advising a sophisticated client base of UK and international employers, senior executives and business owners.

With a long-standing reputation for combining legal expertise with commercial insight and a personal approach to client service, the firm handles complex, high-value and sensitive employment matters across a diverse range of sectors, including financial services, technology, media, healthcare, engineering and professional services.

This is an excellent opportunity to work on a varied and stimulating caseload, advising on everything from strategic workforce issues and corporate transactions to high-profile disputes and senior executive matters. The successful candidate will join a collaborative team that works closely with colleagues across multiple practice areas to deliver commercially focused, forward-thinking advice.

The Role

  • Advising UK and international employers, senior executives and business owners on a broad range of contentious and non-contentious employment matters.
  • Managing complex Employment Tribunal litigation and High Court disputes, including discrimination, whistleblowing and post-termination restrictions.
  • Providing strategic advice on workplace investigations, grievances, disciplinary matters, performance management, organisational change and employment policies.
  • Advising senior executives on service agreements, remuneration, bonuses, equity incentives, exits and negotiated settlements.
  • Supporting corporate transactions, mergers, acquisitions and restructurings, including TUPE, employment due diligence, warranties and indemnities.
  • Advising on restrictive covenants, regulatory compliance, governance and sensitive board-level employment issues.
  • Building trusted client relationships through clear, commercially astute and practical advice.
  • Working collaboratively with colleagues across corporate, restructuring, tax and private client teams to deliver joined-up solutions on complex matters.
  • Contributing to the continued development of the Employment practice and supporting junior colleagues where appropriate.

The Ideal Candidate

  • An experienced Employment Solicitor with a strong grounding in both contentious and non-contentious employment law.
  • Confident handling complex Employment Tribunal litigation and advising on sensitive, high-value employment disputes.
  • Experienced in advising employers and/or senior executives on strategic employment issues.
  • Commercially minded, with the ability to understand the wider business and personal considerations behind each matter.
  • An excellent communicator who can build lasting relationships with clients and colleagues.
  • Proactive, collaborative and committed to delivering consistently high standards of client service.
  • Keen to contribute to a supportive team environment while developing their own practice and professional reputation.

The Opportunity

The firm places great emphasis on collaboration, professional development and creating an environment in which its people can thrive. Individuals are valued for their expertise, perspective and contribution, with opportunities to take ownership of challenging work while continuing to develop professionally.

With a multidisciplinary approach, a diverse client base and a reputation for handling complex employment issues with discretion and sound judgement, this role offers the opportunity to work on high-quality matters within a team that values both technical excellence and human understanding.

For an Employment Solicitor looking to take the next step in their career, this is an opportunity to join a Leading Law Firm where strong client relationships, meaningful work and long-term professional development are central to its approach.
