Private Wealth Associate - Global Law Firm

  • Permanent

Hunters Legal is pleased to be working with a leading Global law firm to recruit a mid-level Private Wealth Management Associate to join their dynamic London team. This role offers an exciting opportunity for an experienced professional to play a pivotal part in the firm’s continued success, particularly in relation to cross-border wealth management initiatives and transactions.

The Role

The Wealth Management Associate will be central to the London office’s ongoing growth, focusing on advising wealthy individuals, family offices, trustees, and financial institutions. Working closely with senior associates and Partners, the Associate will also assume a direct client management role, liaising with clients and other offices across EMEA and globally.

The role is complex and wide-ranging, including:

  • Advising internationally mobile clients, including foreign nationals and entrepreneurs living and/or investing in the UK, on planning structures and managing substantial cross-border and tax transactions for high-value clients and financial institutions.
  • Building and maintaining relationships with an existing client base, while developing new contacts.
  • Collaborating closely with colleagues in overseas offices such as Zurich, Geneva, Hong Kong, Singapore, Miami, and New York.
  • Enhancing cooperation with other departments within the London office, including Litigation, Employee Benefits, and broader Tax teams.
  • Taking an active role in the prestigious International Annual Tax and Trust conference held in London and participating in other internal and external speaking engagements.
  • Driving business development efforts, promoting the firm, and pursuing opportunities for new work.
  • Contributing to team leadership by supervising junior lawyers and trainees, and sharing knowledge and expertise within the team.

The Team

The Wealth Management group provides UK and international tax and wealth planning advice to ultra-high net worth individuals, their family offices, leading trust companies, and private banks. It forms part of a wider Tax practice of over 30 partners and 50 associates and is integrated within a cross-disciplinary Alternative Capital practice supporting family offices and private capital transactions.

The team specializes in complex cross-border tax and trust matters, including strategic tax planning, asset structuring, family office establishment and management, pre-litigation strategy, and tax investigations. Frequently advising on succession issues for family-owned businesses and wealth holding structures, the team serves a diverse client base of non-UK domiciled individuals—both UK resident and non-resident—from Europe, the Middle East, and worldwide.

Accolades include:
