Real Estate Lawyer - Innovative Firm
Hunters Legal is pleased to be working alongside a well-established, progressive law firm in its search for an experienced Real Estate Lawyer. This is a permanent, full-time opportunity to join a respected Commercial Property team within one of the firm’s Thames Valley offices (Newbury, Maidenhead or Swindon). The ideal candidate will have 5+ years’ and a proven track record managing complex commercial property matters. This role is well-suited for a confident self-starter looking to contribute to a growing and collaborative legal environment.

The Role:
The successful candidate will work as part of a busy, supportive team, handling a broad mix of commercial property transactions.
Responsibilities include:
- Managing property portfolios and advising on the grant, renewal, and transfer of commercial leases.
- Handling applications for consent to assignments, underletting, and alterations.
- Advising on the acquisition and disposal of commercial properties.
- Drafting and negotiating options, conditional contracts, pre-emption agreements, and promotion agreements.
- Supporting corporate transactions with property-related elements.
- Working on secured lending, site development, site assembly, and sale of completed units.
The role also involves independently managing a caseload, supporting junior team members, and contributing to the firm’s business development and client engagement efforts.
About You:
- 5+ years’ with strong experience in commercial property law.
- Highly organised and able to manage a fast-paced workload with accuracy and attention to detail.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with a client-focused approach.
- Confident in business development and building client relationships.
- Strong presentation, negotiation, and problem-solving skills.
- A collaborative mindset and team-oriented attitude.
