Hunters Legal is working with a Leading London Firm seeking a Senior Associate to join their Banking team. The firm partners with innovators, entrepreneurs, and investors, providing strategic advice across corporate, venture capital, and banking matters. Known for its collaborative culture and strong track record in high-value transactions, the firm combines technical expertise with a deep understanding of the human side of business, enabling clients to grow, scale, and evolve successfully.

This is an exciting opportunity for a lawyer specialising in banking and finance to join a dynamic team within a forward-looking City firm with a technology-focused client base.

The firm is highly ranked by leading legal directories for Corporate M&A (£10m–100m) and Venture Capital. The Banking team works closely with the Corporate team on financing aspects of transactions, as well as servicing its own client portfolio.

The Senior Associate will become a key member of a busy, high-performing team, working across a range of sophisticated transactions. The role offers autonomy alongside supportive supervision, with opportunities to contribute to business development and grow the team’s client base.

Clients include national and international businesses, entrepreneurial early-stage ventures, and their financial backers and lenders.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead matters with appropriate supervision, managing client relationships and delivering high-quality legal advice.
  • Collaborate across teams to provide cohesive, multidisciplinary solutions for clients.
  • Supervise and mentor junior lawyers, supporting their development.
  • Contribute to the visibility and growth of the Banking team through internal and external business development activities.

Technical Skills and Experience

  • Experience in financing buy-side M&A transactions, venture debt, LMA-based corporate lending, real estate finance, asset-based lending, and restructuring.
  • Competent in advising lenders, borrowers, and equity sponsors.
  • Strong technical legal knowledge with a commitment to excellence.

Personal Qualities

  • Strong communication and relationship-building abilities with clients and colleagues.
  • Growth-oriented, proactive, and flexible, with a problem-solving mindset.
  • Able to work autonomously while managing priorities effectively.
  • Positive, collaborative approach to ongoing professional development and innovation.

This is an excellent opportunity to join a firm with a strong growth trajectory and a supportive, ambitious culture, contributing to high-profile transactions and expanding the Banking team’s offering.
