Real Estate Associate - International Law Firm

Hunters Legal is working with an International Law Firm seeking a Real Estate Associate to join its London office as part of its highly regarded Real Estate practice. This is an opportunity to join a collaborative and ambitious firm that offers early responsibility, meaningful client exposure, and the chance to work on high profile and complex transactions across a diverse client base.
The Team
The London Real Estate team comprises approximately 40 lawyers, including eight partners and more than 20 associates. The practice has extensive international expertise and advises on a full spectrum of commercial and residential property matters.
The team acts for major property companies, institutional investors, banks, hotel groups, public sector organisations and corporate occupiers. Its work spans investment acquisitions and disposals, financings and refinancings, development projects including planning and environmental advice, sale and leasebacks, asset management matters, and wider real estate structuring.
The Real Estate group works closely with the firm’s finance, tax, corporate and construction teams, enabling clients to receive fully integrated, commercially focused advice.
The Opportunity
The successful candidate will join a supportive and well respected practice that encourages professional development, knowledge sharing and early involvement in business development initiatives. The role offers the opportunity to work on landmark transactions while developing strong client relationships and taking ownership of matters.
Key Responsibilities
- Analysing legal and commercial risks and advising on appropriate solutions.
- Drafting and negotiating clear, precise and commercially focused documentation.
- Managing transactions from inception to completion.
- Conducting legal research using internal and external knowledge resources.
- Liaising directly with clients and external advisers.
- Building and maintaining strong working relationships with clients and colleagues across the firm.
- Developing an internal and external network of contacts.
- Attending business development events, client seminars and profile raising activities.
- Assisting in the preparation of legal articles and thought leadership.
Skills and Experience Required
- Strong commercial real estate experience, including acquisitions and disposals, asset management and ideally development work.
- England and Wales qualified lawyer with experience advising on complex landlord and tenant matters, investment transactions and development projects for corporate clients.
- Demonstrable ability to respond promptly and effectively to client demands, including managing challenging discussions and negotiations.
- Excellent academic and professional background.
- Strong commercial awareness and understanding of market positioning.
- Entrepreneurial mindset with a proactive and ambitious approach.
- Highly organised with the ability to manage workload independently and lead transactions, including supervising junior lawyers where required.
- Excellent attention to detail and strong file management practices.
- Professional, confident communicator with strong verbal and numerical skills.
